Phoenix Rising - Coming in Spring 2024
Feel the Rush of a Legendary Flight
There’s nothing more exhilarating than a ride on the wings of the phoenix. Experience a fiery blaze of immersive, family-friendly excitement as you soar above the Serengeti Plain and drop into fun-filled twists and turns on the new Phoenix Rising. Inspired by legend, this suspended roller coaster in vibrant Pantopia is packed with surprises and speeds up to 44 miles per hour. But with a height requirement of just 42”, it’s the perfect adventure for families to embark on together! Let your imagination—and your adrenaline—soar as you feel the rush of the wind and thrill of the flight.

Serengeti Flyer
The world’s tallest and fastest ride of its kind.
With each swing, riders will soar higher and higher above Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s expansive 65-acre Serengeti Plain while experiencing multiple negative-G moments before plunging back toward the Earth. Serengeti Flyer will feature twin dueling arms that soar progressively higher reaching speeds of 68 mph and a maximum height of 135 feet at the ride’s peak. Guests will be seated back-to-back in rows of 10 across two gondolas, allowing for 40 guests to experience the ride at once.

Iron Gwazi
North America's tallest and world's fastest & steepest hybrid coaster
The award-winning Iron Gwazi takes thrills to new heights, plunging riders from a 206 foot-tall peak into a 91-degree drop and reaching top speeds of 76 miles per hour. Riders on Iron Gwazi will experience a dozen airtime moments, including three inversions, as they sink their teeth into crocodile-inspired thrills.
Manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction and voted the Best New Roller Coaster in 2022, Top 5 Roller Coaster as well as Best Hybrid Coaster in the World in 2023, Iron Gwazi is a wood and steel hybrid coaster design, combining the innovation of a steel coaster and the nostalgia of a wooden coaster. While elements of Gwazi, the classic wooden coaster, are integrated into the ride, all-new thrill components and a reimagined track layout take Iron Gwazi to another level.

Tigris
An innovative experience, Tigris catapults riders through an exhilarating array of looping twists with forward and backward motion, breath-taking drops, a 150-foot skyward surge, and an inverted heartline roll, all at more than 60 miles per hour. Tigris races riders along more than 1,800 feet of steel track designed to mimic the awe-inspiring agility of the world’s largest and most powerful cat –the tiger.

Cheetah Hunt
Race through Busch Gardens like nature's fastest land animal on this steel launch ride
A celebration of the fastest land animal, Tampa Bay’s longest roller coaster quickly raced and weaved its way onto the list of coaster favorites. This triple launch roller coaster carries riders high above the park, then races down along the ground through a rocky gorge. At a length of 4,400 feet, Cheetah Hunt® is the park’s longest thrill ride attraction!

Cobra's Curse
Come face-to-fang with this spinning roller coaster!
Imagine a coaster where no two rides are alike. You’re on it. Change your ride by changing who you ride with on this thrilling steel serpent. This one-of-a-kind roller coaster features a menacing 30,000-pound snake king and a 70-foot vertical lift that will take riders within inches of its 3 foot-wide eyes and 4-foot-long fangs. During the three-and-a-half-minute ride, the coaster trains speed along at 40 mph down 2,100 feet of serpentine-like track, traveling backward, forward and then spinning freely.
Riders will experience a new spin with each ride. Each train spins randomly, with frequency and direction determined by the rider weight distribution. This roller coaster's air-conditioned queue naturally fuels adrenaline with an immersive themed experience and a state-of-the-art snake exhibit.
Height Restrictions: Riders must be 48” tall to ride Cobra’s Curse® alone. Riders 42” tall may ride with a responsible person 14 years of age or older.

SheiKra
Plunge 200 feet on SheiKra - an intense coaster!
Climb 200 feet to the edge of a 90-degree drop that inches you mercilessly over the edge—and stops. Then surrender to speed as you dive straight down into a 70 mph roller coaster whirlwind with an Immelmann loop, a second dive into an underground tunnel and a splashdown finale that drenches SheiKra® fans waiting to catch their own piece of the fun.

Intense thrills meet smooth-as-silk steel on this classic, a favorite of coaster enthusiasts for its speeds and inversions. Whether you speak coaster or not, come see why Montu® means thrills to roller coaster enthusiasts in any language.
Climb high into the air and hold on for a twisting drop, a 60-foot vertical loop, an Immelmann loop and a weightless roll and that's only the beginning on this inverted roller coaster. Montu has seven inversions, an unique Batwing inversion and was the first coaster in the world to incorporate an Immelmann loop (a simultaneous loop and roll), named for a German fighter pilot.

Kumba

Touting one of the world's largest vertical loops, enthusiasts have consistently voted Kumba®, one of the world's best roller coasters! It is said that if you can hear the roar of a lion in the distance, you have crossed into his territory. The natives call this roar the Kumba, and you'll feel his breath on the back of your neck from the moment you step aboard the mighty roller coaster that earned his name.

Falcon's Fury
It’s one thing to drop 300 feet. It’s a whole other for your seat to pivot 90° – then drop you face-first at 60 mph.
The height Falcon’s Fury® reaches offers an incredible view stretching well past downtown Tampa and encompassing all of Busch Gardens. The ride takes about a minute until riders get to its peak, giving plenty of time to enjoy the landscape.
Like a falcon, riders then pivot 90 degrees in midair to a face-down dive position at 300 feet in the air. An instant later they'll plunge 60 mph straight down! It’s an immediate, heart-pounding thrill inspired by skydiving – and the comparisons are obvious from that vantage point.

Congo River Rapids

One of the most popular things to do in Florida is to be on the water. Climb aboard and enjoy a refreshing splash – or get seriously soaked. This expedition will send you twirling down a racing river through Congo, so get ready to get soaked! Spouting jets, waterfalls and water cave enhances this drenching experience. Bystanders along side the Congo River Rapids’ banks contribute to the excitement by firing water spray jets at the unsuspecting adventurers on the ride.

Twist and turn in Pantopia® on This Steel Coaster
The Scorpion® is one of only three roller coasters of its kind remaining in the world today, yet its sting is every bit as effective at instilling thrills through every twist and turn. Scorpion pulls you through a 360 degree loop and speeds of 50 miles per hour! Guests between 48” and 54” must be accompanied by a supervising companion 14 years of age or older who is at least 54” tall.

As you continue your journey, venture into the Stanleyville area, catching glimpses of thrilling rides like Kumba, Congo River Rapids and the family-favorite Stanley Falls Flume. Relax on this iconic ride suspended 50 feet above the bustling excitement of the park.
Height Restrictions: Riders must be 56” or accompanied by a supervising companion.
